Trial Lessons

Not sure if flying is for you? Want to buy someone a gift they’ll never forget? Why not purchase a trial lesson? We offer a half hour or full hour trial lesson. You can purchase the voucher via Paypal below. Following receipt, we will issue you a voucher via email which you can print out and give to the lucky individual! We aim to send vouchers out with 48 hours of a receipt of order, but as a volunteer club at periods of high demand or during holidays this may take longer.

Vouchers are valid for six months from the date of issue. To redeem, please complete the form below to book your trial lesson. On the day of the trial lesson we recommend that you telephone the club in the morning after 09:00 to ensure that all is set. Last minute changes due to weather or aircraft availability may sometimes occur. If we postpone your trial lesson due to weather or availability we will extend the expiry date accordingly. We want you to enjoy your experience with us and don’t fly trial lessons if we think you may be upset by poor weather or other factors.

We recommend you wear loose fitting clothing and covered shoes for your flight and that you arrive 15 - 30 minutes prior to your trial lesson time. We are not a commercial airline and as such you may incur delays in starting your trial lesson due to weather or other factors. We try to keep such disruption to a minimum and in the meantime you can enjoy a paned (cuppa) in the warmth of our clubhouse and chat with our members and instructors, browse our aviation library or use one of our computer based flight simulators.

The Trial lesson will include a pre-flight brief, aircraft check out and flight up over the beautiful scenery of North Wales. During the lesson you can take the controls and experience the magic of flight! Once landed, you will have a debrief and we invite you to relax with a hot drink and chat before you depart. Should you wish to continue training to pursue a licence the time can be included towards your required flight hours.

Trial lesson prices are for a two seater aircraft (voucher holder and the instructor). It may be possible to fly a four seater aircraft, which will permit up to two more persons to join you in the air, subject to instructor approval, although a surcharge is required for this.
