Our Environmental Impact
We are acutely aware of aviation’s impact on the environment and we are constantly looking to minimise that impact. Specifically we:
- Have recently completely reclad and re insulated our clubhouse to reduce heating requirements,
- Have recently begun recycling to reduce production of waste,
- Begun to fit energy efficient lamps in our hangar to reduce electricity use,
- Purchase our electricity from an energy company which predominantly generates power using emissions free nuclear and renewable energy,
- Have installed a charging point for electric vehicles,
- Offset all carbon dioxide emissions from our trial lessons and flying lessons through partners Climate Care.
